Moryl Gattereau Fondateur/Administrateur

Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Moryl Gattereau  grew up in Les Cayes, where from a young age, he showed a strong interest in technology and community service. At the tender age of 13, he started installing VHF/UHF antennas, so households in Les Cayes could get programming from Cuba and Venezuela. By age 14, he had a DJ and video production company. He also tended to the family business, taking charge of his uncle’s farm of more than 50 acres, at Dutriche in Les Cayes. And he participated in several youth initiatives.

When Moryl immigrated to the Unites States in the late 1980’s, he became a (C/Ku band) satellite dealer. While still in school, he was a supplier of C band technology to clients in Haiti.

Moryl received an AAS degree, with a specialization in Robotics, at Nassau Community College and pursued a career in Information Systems. He successfully obtained various certifications, such as Microsoft System Engineer and IBM Rational Clearquest. He later completed a Bachelor’s Degree in -Computer Science from New York Institute of Technology.

At the peak of the Age of Technology, Moryl and Dr. Raphael Bazin  co-created HaitiInfonet, the third Haitian Internet site ever launched. He also established lavilledescayes.com, an unofficial website for  Les Cayes, the first of its kind for a town in Haiti. The site was featured at a “Conseil des Ministres” during the presidency of René Préval. Moryl went on to introduce the first remote broadcast satellite radio programming in Haiti with Radio Tropicale and RTMS in the South of Haiti, where several shows were produced in tandem.

Moryl works as a consultant in different industries such as finance (Equitable, Bank of Tokyo, CitiBank), healthcare (HIP, Empire BlueCross BlueShield), Telecommunications (Motorola), Media (MTV, Nickelodeon), fashion (Gap), and real estate (ERA).

As a Change Management Specialist at Empire BlueCross BlueShield, Moryl designed and spearheaded the customization of the Rational Tool Suite for Software Development lifecycle (SDLC), which was integral to outsourcing activities to India/China, and the public offering of the company.

Moryl has been involved in every aspect of internet broadcasting since its inception, and he currently provides streaming services to various radio and television stations.

At the urging of Patrick Moussignac,  owner of CaraibesFM, Moryl immersed himself in Media Broadcasting in Haiti. He created the website for the FM broadcaster, and pioneered different initiatives, including photo reporting and remote broadcasting of popular shows, such as Ranmasé. Radio Caraibes was rebranded as RTVC, and is now the most popular broadcaster in Haiti.

For nearly 3 decades, Moryl has participated in many community activities, hosting several shows on the Public Access system of Cablevision on Long Island and BCAT in Brooklyn. In Les Cayes, he co-founded the Initiative Citoyenne du Sud  (ICS), a civic association in the southern region. An innovator, trailblazer, and entrepreneur, Moryl Gattereau is a highly regarded influencer in Haiti and in the Diaspora. Moryl is a strong believer in energy healing , he is a Reiki as well as an IET Master. He is also an Amateur Radio Operator.
